Tomorrow on Gun Nuts Radio

Tomorrow night on Gun Nuts Radio at 9pm Eastern, we’ve got a show coming up that should be a lighting rod for commentary – it’s called The Politics of Smear, and will be focusing on the current dirty campaign that Barack “Victory at Any Cost” Obama is running, and how it dovetails into his history of smears, lies, dirty politics, and generally being a tool of the massive Chicago political machine – a political machine exceeded in corruption only by the City of Detroit.

Just this previous week in Indiana, the Republican headquarters in Delware county was vandalized by an apparent Obama supporter; additionally, Obama’s Digital Brownshirts have been vigorously cruising the web and silencing or just plain flaming dissenting opinion like the good little followers that they are.

As I mentioned above, we’ll also be looking at Obama’s campaign history: things like the election he won by having all his competitors removed from the ballot, or how in the Illinois’ House he was intentionally propped up by the local party so he could elected to the Senate, his suspicous campaign contributions to dirty politicians from other states, and his ties to known criminals in Illinois.

The one thing we’re not going to do tomorrow night is make anything up – everything we discuss, every detail and fact we point are all going to items that are a matter of public record, but are also probably items that Obama and his people don’t want you to know about.  Tune in tomorrow night to www.blogtalkradio.com/gunnuts at 9pm Eastern time to get the most up to date information on Barack “Victory at Any Cost” Obama.

More on American Hunters and Shooters Association

Uncle has pretty much the definitive round-up of the American Hunters and Shooters Association.  If you’re doubting for even a minute that AHSA is a false flag organization set up to try and trick hunters and shooters, then click that link above and check out his resources on AHSA.  Additionally, you can listen to the Gun Nuts Radio show we did on AHSA last Tuesday if you’d like to gather up some more information on the American Hunters and Shooters Association.

Pink Laser Grips

Apparently, Crimson Trace has decided to get on the “Pink is the new tactical Black” bandwagon and offer a line of laser grips in, well, pink.

From Shooting Wire:

Wilsonville, Oregon -Crimson Trace introduces two new Defender Series Lasergrips specifically created to catch the eye of fashion-conscious women shooters. The “Crimson Lady” models, molded in special hot pink grip material, are new versions of CTC’s very popular and value-priced Defender Series Lasergrips for Smith & Wesson J-Frame and Taurus Small Frame revolvers.

Cool.  Crimson Trace was one of the sponsors of the Gun Blog Summer camp, and their grips make not only an excellent training tool, but are a serious addition to a self defense gun.  Right now, I’m wondering if this model of laser grip, designed for the Beretta Tomcat and Bobcat would fit on my Beretta Jetfire, which is the only gun in my entire arsenal that is always carried no matter what.

This is how it’s going to be

In Muncie, just north of where I live, the Delaware County Republican headquarters was vandalized by an Obama supporter.

MUNCIE — A vandal who apparently plans to vote for Barack Obama attacked the Delaware County Republican Party Headquarters sometime this week with a gold spray can.
The vandal, or vandals, left behind graffiti reading “McCain? Seriously?” underscored by a depiction of a hand gesturing with its middle finger on the western wall of the headquarters.

I’ve been speculating about this for a while – due to our geographical proximity to Chicago, I’ve been wondering how long until the Chicago political machine started trying to affect the election here in Indiana.  I guess that answers my question, since it seems like Obama’s Brownshirts have graduated from the internet harassment to actual crime.

That’s why I’m getting out there and volunteering for John McCain – this election is far too important to allow the political and criminal bullying that you see from Chicago politics mess with the outcome of the election in my neck of the woods.

More on the lead ammo ban

In the comments to this post; a friend of mine asked where my faith was in the “Holy Free Market” – based on my point that right now there is no lead-free alternative for .22 LR ammo.

Now, I could just dismiss that comment as I often do; but I wanted to address it specifically because of the economic impact that a lead ammo ban would have on the hunting and shooting industry.  Now, I don’t have the exact numbers in front of me, but IIRC, Remington ammo sells more .22LR ammo than all their other lines of ammunition combined.  If lead free bans pass in more than just Washington and California, that is going to seriously hurt industry.  That’s why I don’t believe that the “Holy Free Market” is going to solve this problem – because if there was a demand for .22 LR lead free ammo, the market would have created it already.

All the federal government is doing in this situation is creating a false demand for a product that no one wants, specifically because making lead free ammo isn’t cheap; I can’t imagine how much it would cost to make an all copper .22 round.  Ultimately, that’s why I’m opposed to lead ammo bans – I believe that if there is significant call for it; the market will produce more and more lead free ammo, in fact we’re already seeing the beginning of that trend anyway.

Un-tacticool?

Tam says that she needs to tear up her tactical card; because her “answer the door” gun was apparently a 103 year old Colt .32.

Now, while that is decidedly not tactical, it is pretty awesome.  It also made me glad that I’m not the only one who grabs a heater before I answer the door; usually for me it’s whatever gun I happen to have handy, so if the door rings while I’m upstairs one of my high-cap 9mms will end up tucked into my waistband, Martin Riggs style.

The worst is if someone comes to the door while I’m working out; because then the only gun I can reasonbly conceal in a pair gym shorts and a t-shirt is one of my .25 ACP Beretta Jetfires; but then again I carry those so it’s not that big a deal.  Of course, this leads me to my question: when a stranger is at your door, do you guys grab a heater before you answer the door?  If so, what is your “who the hell is at my door” gun?

So I guess it’s that time

Once I get my Gun Blog 9mm, I think my next firearms purchase is going to have to be a major centerfire rifle; and it seems that Remington has produced exactly the rifle that I want.

Say hello to the Remington 700-VTR, a 7 1/2 pound bolt action with a 22 inch barrel.  The best part is that it’s available in .204 Ruger, .223 Remington, .22-250, and .308 Winchester.  Now, I’m probably going to get called some kind of heretic, but I like the looks of the gun; the angular barrel and stock design really appeal to my sense of aesthetics.

Plus, if I get one of these, I’ll finally have something that has longer range than my 9mm.

American Hunters and Shooters Association

If you’re looking for information on the American Hunters and Shooters Association, I cannot more strongly recommend that you listen to Gun Nuts Radio from this last Tuesday.

Breda, myself, and our dedicated listeners and callers covered every angle of AHSA, from Ray Shoenke’s association with the Brady Campaign, Bob Ricker trolling conservative blogs, and John Rosenthal’s anti-gun activities.  You can click the link above to listen to the entire show; it’s an excellent source of information to combat AHSA as they ramp up their misinformation campaign as the election nears.
