That was the easiest experience I’ve ever had checking a firearm.
Now as long as my long gun case doesn’t go missing inbetween here and Indy, everything will be fine.
I watched the SNL presidential bash special episode, and I learned something: SNL had better writers in the 70’s and 80’s. Honestly, the bits I laughed the most at were the classic ones featuring Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, etc.
Oh well.
Get thee to the polls. Although I probably didn’t have to tell any of you guys that.
This time the fraud is taking place in South Bend, where people are receiving phone calls from “election officials”. The fake election official asks the victim for whom they wanted to vote, and then if the victim answers “John McCain” then the phony election official tells them that their ballot has already been counted and they don’t need to vote.
Reports indicate that this scam is primarily targeting the elderly.

My buddy Sebastian is getting a lot of crap over the whole Dan Cooper issue – as an aside, Dan if you’re reading this, you’re still welcome on my show – but back to the issue, Sebastian has received a lot of hate mail from people telling him how bad and wrong he is to come out against Cooper.
The problem of course with that is Sebastian was using the same 1st Amendment rights that Dan Cooper used – and no one, not Cooper Firearms, not bloggers, and certainly not the eeeebil gun lobby suppressed Dan’s right to free speech. He exercised that right, and then had to live with the consequences of it, just like I would have to do if I went on this blog and said that I supported Obama or something equally silly.
What’s funny is that I kind of have a bad feeling about what happened to Dan Cooper; which is hard to explain. I personally disagree with his politics, but I sometimes worry that in the pro-gun community we’re too fast to eat our own. Whether or not that’s an accurate feeling is what I’m struggling with right now.
Uncle wrote a bit at his local paper’s blog about Obama and Guns, and he is currently digging in for the onslaught of the Truth Squads. The last report I have from him was “Receiving heavy fire – send reinforcements and beer.”
