  1. Proprietary? It’s a Daewoo DP-51. It was imported from ROK for a few years before the ’94 ban.

I handled and shot one. The finish was kind of blah but the gun worked very well. I liked it.

  2. Where would this gun fall in IDPA and what would the start condition for the gun be? Safety on hammer cocked? Hammer “deocked” and safety on or true DA mode decocked and safety on?

    1. That is an excellent question for which I do not have a good answer. I do know that the Daewoo DP51 (same operating system) is on the IPSC Production gun list.

Based on past IDPA rules, the only mode where the safety would have to be engaged would likely be in true SA mode for ESP.

      1. That’s what I thought too. I think it’s one of those guns like an FN FNP where you can shoot it in either ESP or SSP depending on which ready condition you wanted to use. I tried asking around before on the net but couldn’t find an answer. Someone did point out to be IDPA legal it has to have sold X amount a year and I don’t know if the LH9 does that yet.
