I remember when LMT changed their gas keys to MIM, everyone on Arfcom freaked the hell out.
I am running a LMT 14.5″ upper, and even with a M4-2000 can attached, have had no issues with it with monthly USPSA style rifle matches and a Magpul class under its belt
