  1. I had the opportunity to s hoot a friend’s AK in April and while it was fun, it wasn’t something that I would want to buy. The stock was too narrow, and the controls just felt odd to me.

    1. Aaron, I was foolish enugh to think the controls would feel more natural if I had the chance to fiddle with them every day for several days.

Instead I just learned to hate that rifle more-and-more….and desire an FAL more-and-more….

  2. I also forgot to mention that I shoot lefty so that probably added to the feeling of strangeness on the AK. But what really felt the weirdest to me was the shoulder stock’s narrowness…

  3. This is easy:

    Step 1: Don’t buy a Century
Step 2: Don’t pay more than it’s worth
    Step 3: ???
    Step 4: Profit!

  4. $400 is a cheap AK? I have a Romanian that was $120 when I bought it about 10 years ago. (It was a thumbhole stock from the Clinton Ban era)
Guess that was a good investment! Still unfired too.
