“It has this thing on it called a “handguard” that’s already designed for you to hold it from there.”
A lot of people’s ARs (including mine) balance very naturally at or around the delta ring. Which means that holding the gun near or around the mag well is a very natural shooting position. And natural relaxed shooting positions tend to be accurate. Holding the magwell has always felt a lot better to me than a vertical foregrip does for that reason.
Not that I think this product is anything other than a waste of money. The magwell works just fine without wrapping it in thick rubber and plastic.
I LOVE how this is being made by Extreme Shock! The makers of REALLY FUCKING EXPENSIVE Defensive ammo that doesn’t actually work are now making a useless and ugly add-on for guns! Couldn’t find the list price, but I bet it’s overpriced too!
What they need to make now is a textured wrap that fits around the trigger guard of a revolver so you can grip the gun forward of the trigger guard and catch muzzle flash!
Holding the magwell/magazine works great, especially when moving. However, I’m for taking stuff off my guns, not stacking more on!
More stuff on the gun, more stuff that can break or, in this case, interfere with reloading or malfunction clearances. This silly device is analogous to those ruber condom thingies on a pistol.
YMMV.
Wasn’t this the topic a few days ago?
“What makes something ‘tactical’?”
The gleam in the eye of the advertiser as he contemplates the truckloads of money that will roll in.
(that quote, right there, is money all the way…)
Somewhere I saw someone made modified AR lowers that basically had this type of grip built in.
The plus side is, products like this will surely confuse and irritate Carolyn McCarthy.
I used to shoot with a Marine Sgt that gripped the magwell because to him it was more comfortable and felt more natural. Oh, and he could shoot the wings off a gnat.

Some Mega brand lowers used to have grippy features around the mag well that works sort of like this.
