Gander Mountain selling guns online

This is actually a pretty good idea – you visit Gander Mountain’s website, see what they have in stock, and then call the number for pricing and to order.  Once you order, they ship the gun to the closest Gander Mountain to you, and you’re off to the races.  If you’re like me and have a Gander Mtn 10 minutes from your house, this is a pretty slick way to get guns that might not be in stock locally.

  1. How come they won’t post their prices? Most other places selling online will post prices.

  2. They’re not that bad up here, usually about 5-10% under MSRP. Not great, but a lot of the time they have guns in stock that you can’t find at smaller stores. I know Bitter hates Gander, don’t you join the parade.

  3. Just for the record: I actually like Gander – some things they’ve got are really great – but sometimes their pricing on new and used guns is, well, crappy.

Walmart and Dick’s are better places to go for stuff like Ruger 10/22’s.

  4. Was just checking out the local Gander yesterday. Their gun stock seems to be pretty much back to where it was pre-election, and prices are only slightly higher, if at all.

  5. In West Texas their prices on anything gun related are pretty bad. Selection is pretty good though. Everything else varies, some of their clothes are priced reasonably, and some are just silly.
