Even street signs that are out of date.
Backstory – on one of the roads I take on my way home from the office, there is a lane that used to be a right turn only lane. Well, they painted some lines on the road and made it into a turn or go straight lane, but for a while the sign was still up that said “Right turn only”.
Demonstrating a tremendous knack for “thinking on your feet”, the Indianapolis road guys came up with the optimal solution.
Duct tape the thing so that people can’t see the sign.

Um, why didn’t they just take the sign down?
Because then you couldn’t have duct taped it!
