Phrase of the Day

From Tam: “Legacy Media”; used to identify the largely print and tv based forms of media which are quickly hurling themselves into obsolescence.

In my real line of work (B2B wireless management) we use the term “legacy device” to refer to phones that are on their last legs, devices that are technologically out of date and that carriers aren’t going to be supporting any longer.  I love referring to the mainstream media with this designator, as it’s a perfect way to describe their current attempts to snatch mediocrity from the jaws of irrelevance.

“Legacy media” indeed.
