The U.S. House of Representatives voted today to approve the National Rifle Association (NRA)-backed “Second Amendment Enforcement Act” in an overwhelming bi-partisan vote of 266-152.
Things to know: the bill is no longer HR 6691; the Second Amendment Enforcement Act is now an amendment to HR 6842, The National Capital Security and Safety Act. It’s now on to the Senate – I’ll be contacting Evan Bayh and Dick Luger informing them of my support for the Senate version of HR 6842; I of course encourage you to do the same with your senators.
