I suppose that in light of John Kerry stunts in ’04 combined with Obama’s recent statements about how gun owners are “bitter” that it was inevitable that Hillary would end up trying to play herself as a “lifelong shooter”.
“You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught be how to shoot when I was a little girl,” she said.
Of course, she then touted her husband’s signing of the Assault Weapons Ban as her being tough on crime.
The most interesting thing about this is that it shows how powerful the pro-gun vote is – that the Democratic candidate with a history of being against the right to keep and bear arms is now pandering and desperately trying to win over that voting block.
