Still waiting on my money

As usual, the Brady Campaign doesn’t understand the difference between real grassroots and astroturf.

It’s an important distinction to make, because one of the great strengths of the pro-gun movement is our ability to get the grassroots out; reference what happened to the anti-gun protests in Virginia where the VCDL had more than double the numbers of the anti-groups present.

The other thing that strikes me as odd about the constant assertions that we’re all paid is shills is that it seems kind of like a desperate move on the part of the Brady Campaign.  They have never been able to motivate the grassroots like the pro-gun movement can, and when they do it’s usually because they’re making shady (but legal)  moves behind the scenes.

I can personally attest that the only money I’ve made from blogging has come from selling ads and Toddy Coffee.  Like everyone has pointed out, this is real grassroots, I do this because I like to write and I’m passionate about the shooting sports.

  1. Our movement is truly grassroots. We don’t have a George Soros funneling millions through various foundations………… unlike the Bradys and the VPC. And thanks for calling attention to Senator Ashford’s AWB.
