There is a word for that, when more of the Senate wants something than the part that doesn’t…what is that word? Oh yes, it’s called a “majority”.

Majority, yes, but that doesn’t mean legislation can get passed to fix the problem. If a bill like that was ever introduced in congress, the liberals would have a field day adding anti-gun amendments to it. In addition, the law would probably look like this anyway:
“You may carry in parks… but no ‘assault weapons’, ‘sniper rifles’, ‘cop-killer rounds’, or ‘saturday night specials’… and you have to register your firearms at the front office, and get approval to carry 6 months in advance.”
Yeah, I know; but it’s nice that a majority of the Senate supports some kind of policy change.
