Virginia Gun show loophole

The bill to close the mythical “gun show loophole” in Virginia seems to be stalling.  In the Virginia House on Friday, the bill was voted down in committee and essentially killed; however today the Virginia Senate will be taking up the Senate version of the bill, which is noticeably stronger than the legislation that was killed in the House.

My Virginia sources tell me that the bill stands a much stronger chance of passing through the Senate than it did in the House, but that if it does reach the House it will likely suffer the same fate as the House version of the bill.  That being said, Virginia residents, contact your State Senators today, right now.  Especially if your Senator sits on the Courts of Justice Committee.
