2nd Amendment Blog Bash

Just a reminder about the 2nd Amendment Blog Bash, coming up in May at the NRA Annual Convention.

It’s going to be huge, and the word on the street is that Uncle might even make a presentation.

Here’s a list of all the bloggers that are interested or confirmed for the bash – I’ve already made my hotel reservations.

I’m really excited about this, I think it’s going to be a great time.

  1. Airline tickets are usually not an issue. Sometimes the price will go up a little (rarely a lot, especially at smaller places like Louisville), but it’s hotel space that runs out, especially at venues like this one where there’s not one “on site” which means there will be shuttle buses only at the NRA arranged hotels. (Though the two hotels that are as close to “across the street” as you can get at a site like this don’t look like a bad walk. I even bought some nice flats so I could make that walk and survive the day without dying on my feet.

Oh, shoes. Wear comfy shoes. I’m not kidding about this just as a woman thing. There is so much to see and do, and then there’s the evenings in the bars where there may not be much sitting room, so don’t discount the value of comfortable shoes.

  2. I’ve been invited to blog the GOP Convention in Minneapolis, so I have to decide between the two. I’d like to go to Lou-a-vull. I was born there, and moved back in the 80s. And if I go, I’ll be staying at the Brown, which I’m sure is not on the NRA convention hotel list.

    Have to see.

  3. you can count me in as interested. I’ll be finishing up the final class of my college career in the spring and *may* be exempted from the final. If that happens to be the case I’ll be making the drive from DE to KY to meet everyone.

  4. Rightwingprof,

The Brown is an NRA hotel which means there should be a shuttle to and from the Expo Center. The NRA discounted rate is $145 right now. 🙂 Just sayin’…

  5. Sorry to double post. Mike, want to shoot me your email address and I’ll add you to our update list? It puts you under no obligation, just keeps you in the loop. (Ahab can attest there’s basically no email traffic on there at this point. Even when things get busier, I won’t bombard people with emails.
