    1. Honestly, me too. AF BMT wasn’t difficult, and if they hadn’t made me dorm chief I would have coasted through the thing completely undetected.

  1. Doesn’t sound too much different from my experience in December of 1970. I was basically four years older than 95% of the flight since I had a college decremented, so I understood the mental aspect,

  2. LMAO! From what I’ve been told talking to young AF troops stationed here, AF basic needs to be called Girl Scout camp.

  3. The biggest difference from 1962 basic & the Air Force today is that back then they were trying to wash people out. We went from 65 guys down to 42 in 5 weeks. Of course some of these guys were just set back & probably made it thru eventually.
