  1. I have one in 45lc, and love it. Built like a tank. But its still not the same as the colt. The four clicks, smaller plow grip, and hammer mounted firing pin are part of the old west. And missing on the Ruger.

    1. Your assumption is that the pistol is carried as a sentimental sporting gun. The modern Ruger Single action has a great deal of utility as a working gun. A gun that can euthanize a sick cow or horse and protect livestock from feral dogs. Being single action there is a comfort level where a man can get bucked of a horse or a pistol can get fouled by a lariat coupled by a reasonable price explains why they still have a following with cattleman.
