I’m sure it’s better than the HiPoint carbine they used in the sho
I thought the original revolver in a case gun looked way cooler.
Fun fact – for the first season they used a LeMat revolver dressed up to look all “space”.
Fun fact-So did Jayne
Nope. The original sidearm was an attempt to recreate the pistol from Blade Runner, according to Ron Moore. It used a S&W K-frame in a futuristic-looking shell, but it was a pain in the ass to reload, and with Stargate using up metric butt tons of 5.7mm blanks, it was cheaper to swap to the futuristic-looking FN57.
I can’t find any reference to it being a k-frame, but it was definitely not a LeMat. I must have gotten that from the underbarrel grenade launcher.
Although, even worse was when I found out that Captain Mal’s gun from Firefly was really just a gussied up Taurus. Finding out that Cap’n Tightpants was winging around space with a Taurus is worse that finding out there is no Santa Claus.
“Finding out that Cap’n Tightpants was winging around space with a Taurus is worse that finding out there is no Santa Claus.”
What do you mean “there’s no Santa Claus”?
Aw, crap! Thanks a lot, Caleb…
Armor-piercing 9mm?
Bullet technology must keep evolving… Bur seriously, we saw how that show ended, this is the very least of their sins.
“we saw how that show ended, this is the very least of their sins.”
There was a joke going around during seasons 3 and 4 of Battlestar Galactica:
“The Cylons have a plan…and the show’s writers have no idea what it is.”
