Return of the JMB-AI

You may recall that in the 1911 Centennial Project, the Gun Nuts Skunkworks created a sentient AI that simulates the brain patterns of John Moses Browning, but gives him access to modern materials and engineering.  The Skunkworks guys tell me they’ve tweaked the AI to get it even closer, so we decided to ask it to redesign another one of John Moses Browning’s greatest designs, the M2 Machine Gun (aka Ma Deuce) and see what it came up with.  Hit the jump for the result!

Well, we had a slight problem.  At first with thought that the JMB-AI was broken, because when we fed in the parameters, it kept spitting out the M2 machine gun as the result with no changes.  After a final try, the JMB-AI printed these words out on a sheet of paper:

The M2 is perfect, it has been killing Nazis, Commies, and Terrorists for a jillion years, why would I screw with perfection?

So we left it at that.

    Because you can’t do a barrel change easily or without checking headspace?

  2. I think Ron Barrett has already done this , he made it semi auto so everyone could enjoy it .

    It seriously needs a quick change barrel, fixed headspace, and a diet.

    Oh, so like the M2HB with the QCB kit?

    As for weight, it just adds to durability. Mama Deuce keeps on feedin’, and Bad Guys keep on bleedin’. {grin}
