That’s Paul Gardner, a Marine wounded in Iraq. He goes by RetreatHell on M4Carbine.net where he shared his story in a post/thread titled Lessons Learned in Combat. It’s a pretty good read, so much so that I read it to every CCW class I instruct to drill into the the importance of seeking out good continuing training. You can read his story here:

Saw his story in SWAT magazine, very cool stuff.
Gardner definitely has some good points.
On a different level, I’m kicking myself after watching that…I just gave one of my team leaders my slot in two of Vicker’s courses this weekend(Advanced Pistol and Carbine) because I still need a cane to get around on my prosthetic. Never even thought about doing it in my wheelchair…Damn!
That Marine is my hero.
Thanks.
Rolling Thunder!!
