SHOT Show 2010

I can’t believe we’re almost there again.  It’s that time of year when rumors of what’s going to be at SHOT start flying fast and thick – I’ve heard everything from a Ruger 1911 to a striker fired Sig, and that’s just what I can find online.  Sadly, this looks like the first time in three years where I won’t be able to be “your man on the floor” at SHOT Show – travel budgets are a lot tighter this year than they were last year.

That being said though, nothing is set in stone until it’s history, so things may change.  However, that’s not the focus of this post, no what I want to see here is what you’d like to see at this year’s SHOT Show.  A new 1911?  Tactical goodies from your favorite black rifle company?  The latest and greatest in compact defensive pistols?  Post your heart’s desire in the comments!

  1. How about a striker fired, gas piston AR15 with an 20″ rail-farm?!?! ZOMG!!

Seriously, I’d like to see some more inexpensive pistol caliber home defense oriented carbines. Tactical Shotties are always the bee’s knees as well.

Perhaps some new holsters, they can’t make holsters too good and I don’t think any are perfect yet.

  2. Chris, that would be cool too, but it would mostly just piss me off because I’d want to build a limited gun on it. Unfortunately, I’d be stuck with 10 rounders here in the PRM. L10 just sucks, IMHO.

Dan Burwell is working on a set of drop in parts to make an M&P 9 in to an open gun. That makes me sad for the same reasons.

  3. A 308 belt fed based on an AR. Or based on a 1911. Cheep 308. Cheep any ammo. $889 RFB Kel-tec 308.

  4. I would very much like a 9mm pistol that is really tiny like essentially LCP size. The mini 1911’s come close but I need something smaller than that.
