Gun Nuts Radio: Rob Pincus and ICE Training

Last night’s Gun Nuts Radio was a tremendously educational show, especially if you’re a shooter new to self-defense or the shooting sports.  Special guest Rob Pincus was excellent, and was able to share a lot of tips and wisdom on defensive shooting in general, and the concept of “Combat Focused Shooting” in specific.  A lot of the core of Combat Focus Shooting is using the body’s natural reaction to stress as a part of the fighting technique – this includes starting from the “startle” position (which is a lot like the surrender position), assuming a hunched over posture or crouch when firing (also similar to the combat isosceles used by all the pro shooters), as well as other segments.  You can listen to the show with Rob Pincus by clicking on this link, or by clicking the “Gun Nuts Radio” logo on the right to be taken to the show page.  Also, if you’d like to download the .mp3 of the show, you can do that by clicking here.

As usual, we are also available for download in iTunes – you can simply go to the iTunes store using your account and search for Gun Nuts, or you can follow the directions to subscribe to our .rss feed.

We’re rapidly approaching the 1 year anniversary of Gun Nuts Radio – our first show was June 23rd of 2008, so once we get to that monumental occasion, I think we’re going to have to have some kind of insane blow out on-air party.  That’s less than a month away, so start thinking about how you the listener would like to celebrate a year of Gun Nuts – and email your ideas to me at [email protected].

Next week’s show should be fun – is currently a GREAT BIG SECRET though, and I can’t disclose any details until hopefully later in the week.  Don’t forget to tune in though at 9pm Eastern time!
