Park Carry Suspended

Apparently, there is a judge out there with an anti-gun agenda:

Today, a federal district court in Washington, D.C. granted anti-gun plaintiffs a temporary restraining order against implementation of the new rule allowing concealed carry in national parks and national wildlife refuges.

Until further notice, individuals cannot legally carry loaded, concealed firearms for personal protection in national parks and wildlife refuges.

The court did grant NRA’s motion to intervene in the cases. Under federal law, NRA is entitled to an immediate appeal, and NRA will exercise that right.

Like the press release says, this is temporary.  NRA is certainly going to appeal this, and obviously I’m hoping that they win.  Park carry was a big deal – Indiana’s had State Park carry for a couple of years now, and yet somehow we’ve managed to avoid turning Turkey Run (a state park) into a shooting gallery.

  1. I really hope they pull their heads out on this and let us carry in national parks like the law abiding citizens we are. I live fifty miles from Yellowstone. Yellowstone has bears that see no problem with making me into a light snack. I should have the right to even the odds.
