I managed to escape this weekend’s IDPA match without shooting a no-shoot. Instead, on one stage I completely forget to shoot a target, which gave me the following penalties: -10 target points, 1 procedural, and 1 failure to neutralize.
Then the rest of the day I shot screamingly well to manage to salvage a top 10 finish. I’ll just keep saying to myself that I got my major brain fart of the year out of the way at the first match, so when I go down to Gunny’s at the end of the month and shoot for prizes, I’ll be ready.
I hit one no-shoot on the first stage and one on the last. Perfect bookends to a set of zero downs in the middle.
I’m in search of consistency.
